Dentures and partials
For adults who have lost some or all of their teeth. A partial fills gaps and clips to the teeth you keep; a full denture replaces a whole arch.

Good to know
Comfort, alternatives, risks and billing
Comfort
Most of this visit needs no numbing. A new denture can rub in places, and we adjust it until it doesn't.
Other choices, and waiting
Other choices include leaving gaps, a bridge, or implants, which we would refer to a dentist who places them. Waiting can let the remaining teeth shift.
Risks and after-care
Expect sore spots and some change in how you speak and chew for a few weeks. Dentures can loosen as the gums change, and we'll check the fit.
How it's billed
The estimate lists each visit and the lab work, in writing, before we begin.
How fees work
Questions about dentures and partials
How long does it take?
Usually several visits over a few weeks. Dr. Bolden gives you a range at the first visit.
Will I be without teeth meanwhile?
We plan the order of visits so you know what to expect, and we'll talk about it before any tooth comes out.
Do dentures need adjusting?
Often, in the first weeks and again as your gums change.
