How fees work
Here is how paying works, in the order most patients ask.
Insurance we work with
We are in network with some PPO plans and file claims for others. We are not enrolled with Medicaid or CHIP. The owner lists the plans in the practice's hub; this page names plan types only.

If you pay yourself
If you pay yourself, you know the fee before we start, in writing, and you pay at the visit. Financing is offered by third-party lenders. Approval and terms are set by the lender.

Receipts for reimbursement
After each visit you get an itemized statement that you can send to a plan that reimburses out-of-network care. Whether the plan pays, and how much, is the plan's decision.

An estimate in advance
You can ask for a written estimate before any treatment. If you're paying without insurance, we give you a written estimate in advance, when you schedule or whenever you ask, listing each step we expect and its fee. This applies in an emergency too.

Checking your benefits
We check what your plan lists for the visit before you come, and tell you what we expect it to pay and what you'd owe. Your plan makes the final decision, and we give you the codes if you want to call it yourself.

What the first visit includes
About an hour: a talk about what worries you, an exam by Dr. Bolden, X-rays only if she needs them, and a written estimate for any treatment. Fill in your health history on our private patient portal, not by email or in the contact form.

More about paying
Do you charge more in an emergency?
No. An urgent visit is quoted in writing like any other, before treatment.
What if I can't pay the whole fee?
Tell us before treatment. We can talk through the order of treatment, and third-party financing is one option; approval and terms are set by the lender.
Can I get the estimate before I decide?
Yes. Ask when you schedule or at the visit, and take it home.
Questions about a fee?
Call and Norberto will explain it before you come in.
