After hours, current patients(815) 555-0102

General dentist · Rockford, Illinois

When the office is closed, there is still a number to call

Bolden Dental is one dentist's office on Rockford's east side. Patients we already see have an after-hours line. It isn't a 24-hour emergency room, and this page says plainly what it is.

A dental operatory seen through an open door in the evening, the lamp on and the chair empty
  • Swelling that spreads to your face, eye or neck, trouble breathing or swallowing, a serious blow to the head, or bleeding that won't stop needs emergency care now. Go to an emergency room or call 911. If a tooth is knocked out or broken, call our office right away.

After hours

Tonight, in the order that matters

What to do depends on what is wrong. Start at the top.

  1. 01

Step 1: Trouble breathing or swallowing, or swelling that spreads

This needs a hospital, not a dental office. Call 911 or go to an emergency room.

  2. 02

    Step 2: A knocked-out tooth, a broken tooth or a bad toothache

If you are a current patient, call the after-hours line and leave your name and number. Dr. Bolden checks it in the evening and again before the office opens.

  3. 03

Step 3: Not a current patient yet

The after-hours line is for people the practice already sees. An emergency room can help with pain or swelling tonight, and you can call us when we open.

  4. 04

    Step 4: The next morning

We set time aside each morning for people who called overnight. We can't promise a slot, and we'll tell you honestly when the next opening is.

One dentist, one office

A small office, and the dentist who answers

Bolden Dental has one dentist, one hygienist and one front desk. Dr. Lenora Bolden does the exams, fillings, crowns and tooth removals herself. She is also the person who returns after-hours calls.

That is why the line is for current patients: she knows your chart. It also means she may be with someone else and not pick up right away. Leave a message and a number.

Questions

Before you need to call

Is there someone to call after hours?

For current patients, yes: (815) 555-0102. Leave your name and number. Dr. Bolden checks the line in the evening and again before the office opens.

Is this a 24-hour emergency service?

No. We are a dentist's office with a phone line for current patients, not a 24-hour facility. For trouble breathing or swallowing, spreading swelling, or bleeding that won't stop, call 911 or go to an emergency room.

Will you see me tomorrow morning?

We set time aside each morning for people who called overnight, but we can't promise a slot. We'll tell you when the next opening is.

I'm not a patient. Can I use the line?

The line is for people the practice already sees. Call the office when we open and we'll tell you when we can see you.

What does an emergency visit cost?

You get the fee in writing before treatment, even in an emergency. How fees work explains the rest.

Looking for a regular visit?

Ask for a time and Norberto will call, text or email you back.
